DIY : Ombre Nail Art Tutorial

Ombre is on everything from hair to clothing. The term ombre in fashion refers to the graduation of color. When something is described as ombre, it usually means the item features color progressing from light to dark or vice versa from one end to the other. For example, an ombre top may seamlessly go from a dusty pink around the collar to fuchsia at the hemline. The ombre look can be achieved using various colors however, it looks best monochromatic. Below is a step-by-step ombre nail tutorial using two shades of blue.





Supplies: 


1. Base Polish
2. Two shades of nail polish in the same color family.
3.Black Nail Polish.
4. ClearTop Coat
5. Toothpick
6. Makeup Sponge






Step 1: Apply a base coat to your nails.

Step 2: Apply two coats of the lighter color to your nails. Allow the nail polish dry for a few minutes.

Step 3: On a clean disposable surface mix an equal amount of the light and dark color.

Step 4: Apply one to two coats of the nail polish mixture to 3/4 of your nail with the makeup sponge.


Step 5: Brush some of the darker nail polish onto a clean area of the makeup sponge. Then apply one coat to 1/2 of the nail with the makeup sponge.

Step 6: On a clean disposable surface mix the darker color with a little bit of black polish.

Step 7: Apply one or two coats of the mixture to the tip of your nails. Allow the polish to dry for a few minutes.


Step 8: Carefully apply a clear top coat to your nails. Allow polish to dry.
